Blanca Castro Eddy

Blanca Castro Eddy Blanca Castro Eddy, age 86 of Wharton, died Saturday March 24, 2012, at her residence in Wharton following a sudden illness. She was born on December 1, 1925 in Mendoza, Argentina, a daughter of the late Abel A. and Blanca Rosa Castro. Blanca was a resident of the Wharton area since 1994. She was raised in Argentina and graduated from San Jacinto High School. In July 1955, she married Clinton Prescott Eddy in Buenos Aries Argentina and he preceded her in death in August 1986. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and her art. Blanca was a member of the WCJC Senior Group. She was also a member of St Thomas Episcopal Church in Wharton. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 4pm from the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Wharton with Fr. Hoss Gwinn. According to her wishes, Blanca was cremated. Survivors include son, Harold C. Eddy, II and wife, Kelly Wallace-Eddy of Wharton, and grandson, Clinton Prescott Eddy, II of Houston. She is also survived by two sisters in Argentina.
