LEONA W. GAYLOR Mrs. Leona Marie Gaylor, age 83 of Wharton died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her home in Wharton following a sudden illness. She was born on January 4, 1929 in Wharton Co., TX the daughter of the late Joseph Wisnieski and Elsie Sedlock Wisnieski and was the oldest of eight children. Mrs. Gaylor was a life-long resident of Wharton and was Christian by Faith. She was a retired homemaker was an excellent cook, kept an immaculate home and loved working in her garden. She was a real “Do-It-Yourselfer”. She enjoyed hunting and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 am at the chapel of the Wharton Funeral Home with Mr. Paul Jones officiating. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Feamster of Corpus Christi, TX; sisters; Linda Hept & husband Tom, Gloria & husband Julius, all of Wharton, and Betty Bartos & husband Jerome of Lake Jackson, TX. Brothers; Ronnie Wisnieski & wife Debbie, Leo Wisnieski & wife Bobbie, Joe Wisnieski and wife Lillian all of Wharton and George Wisnieski of California; grandchildren Jamie Konvicka & husband Joseph of Rosenberg and Billy Feamster of Corpus Christi and great grandson, Devin James Konvicka. Many nieces and nephews also loved. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
