MARY LOUISE SEPULVEDA

June 8, 1916 — July 29, 2012

Mary Louise Sepulveda Mrs. Mary Louise Sepulveda, age 96, of Boling died of natural causes on Sunday morning, July 29, 2012 at Park Manor of Quail Valley in Missouri City, Texas. She was born on June 8, 1916, a daughter of the late Samuel and Aminta Neri Lopez. Mrs. Sepulveda was married to Julio Sepulveda. They lived in Newgulf until her husband retired from Texas Gulf Sulphur in 1959. Then they moved to Boling, and she lived there for over 50 years. Mary Louise was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Boling. She could always be counted on to help with the church functions and bazaar. While living in Newgulf, one of the many things she enjoyed doing was helping to translate from Spanish to English, especially when someone needed to go to the hospital, a doctor’s appointment, or assist them such things as filling out their tax returns. As an excellent cook and baker, she loved preparing meals for her family, friends, and school functions. Mary Louise worked 17 years for Gulf Coast Medical Center in the Central Supply and departed earlier than she planned to take care of her husband when he became ill. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Richard Salinas and Rueben Dario Sepulveda. A Rosary was recited by Sister Felipa Lara Monday evening, July 30th at the chapel of the Wharton Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, July 31th at St Joseph Catholic Church in Boling with Father Dominic Antwi-Boasiako officiating. Burial followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include her children, Julio Jr., Ramon Eduardo, Baldemar, Maria del Roble, Velia, Concepcion, Irene, Esmeralda, Rosalia, Guadalupe, and Deborah Ann. She was also survived by 30 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons: David Sepulveda, Michael Sepulveda, Eloy Garcia, Steven Allen Garcia, Michael Rodriguez, and Samuel Rodriguez. Funeral services were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
