Shawn H. Hubenak Shawn H. Hubenak, age 45 of Wharton died Sunday, August 19, 2012 in Wharton while doing one of the things he loved, fishing on the Colorado River near his home. He was born on September 28, 1966 in Brownsville, TX the son of Henry Hubenak and Pamela Sue Tucker Hubenak A rosary was recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening, August 23, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 am Friday, August 24, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton. Graveside services followed at 12:30 pm at the St. Procopius Catholic Cemetery in Louise. He graduated from Sweeny High School in 1985 and graduated from TSTI in Waco, TX. He worked as a Pipeline Technician for Dow Chemical for the past twenty three years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, doing taxidermy making European mounts with his brother-in-law, Danny Pless as “Dos Cunados”. His most favorite time was spending time with his daughter Jenna and his wife and family. Survivors include his wife, Pam Hubenak of Wharton; daughter, Jenna D’lei Hubenak of Wharton; mother, Pam Hubenak of Wharton; father, Henry Hubenak of Louise and grandmother, Ruth Tucker of Louise; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leigh & Danny Pless of Wharton, Jill & D. Atkinson of Tilden, TX and Amanda & Corey Grant of Wharton; brother, Stephan Hubenak of Stafford; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and extended family. Pallbearers were; Danny Pless, Keith Bain, Timmy Rachunek, Matt Kubena, Kenneth Wright, Keith Tuch, Billy Eddington and Preston Little. Honorary pallbearers were; brothers-in-law, D. Atkinson & Corey Grant, uncle, Allen Tucker also Johnny Scott, Matt Lowery, Roy Blackstock, Theron Richers and all of his fellow co-workers at Dow Pipeline and his many, many friends. In lieu of usual remembrances the family request memorials to the National Rifle Association OR the church or charity of your choice. Funeral services were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home in Wharton.
