Willard Lynn Brown

Willard Lynn Brown, age 69, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Gulf Coast Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mr. Brown was born January 3, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Willard Gail and Oleta Mooney Brown of Greenfield, Indiana. Willard attended school in Greenfield. After graduating in 1961, he moved to Coloma, Michigan to work with an uncle. He fell in love with Michigan and decided to make his home there. He served four years in the United States Air Force, met a beautiful young lady named Louella Hindman, and they were married in 1964. They were married for 41 years before he lost her in December 2005. He then married Monty Hudspeth Brast on April 4, 2009 in Beeville, Texas. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Monty of Wharton; two brothers, Steve and wife, Thelma of San Jose, California and Robert ( Bobby) and wife, Vicki of Greenfield, Indiana; three sons, Mike of Battlecreek, Michigan, Chris and Daniel of Coloma, Michigan; and one step - daughter-in-law, Christey Brast. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Joey Peek, Devin Brown, and Jaden Brown; one step-grandson, Cody Brast; one great-grandson, Connor Peek; twin aunts, and one uncle. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, one brother, David, and one step-son, Russell Brast. Following cremation a memorial service will be held at Peace Tabernacle United Pentacostal Church at 1416 Alabama Road in Wharton on Friday, September 14 at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
