Esther Lopez

Esther Z. Lopez Mrs. Esther Z. Lopez, age 85 of Bay City passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at a Clear Lake Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on July 28, 1927 in Bay City, TX a daughter of the late Guadalupe and Lina Rodriguez Zepeda. Mrs. Lopez was a longtime resident of Bay City. She was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed fishing, sewing puzzles and crafts. She also enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her daughter, Emma Landriault and sons, Sammy and Michael Montoya. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 1, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Rev. Alex Lopez officiating. Burial followed in the Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Survivors include her son, Don A Montoya and fiancée, Gloria Enriquez of Angelton, daughters, Esther Anzaldua and husband Michael of Corpus Christi, Eva Guzman of Texas City, and Elva Mendiola and husband, Baldemar of Houston, son in law, Johnny Landriault of Bay City, sisters, Ruth Orozco of Corpus Christi, Sara Franco of Bay City, and Martha Guzman of Bay City, brothers, Isaac Zepeda of Wharton and Paul Zepeda of Houston. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Baldemar Mendiola, Anthony Hernandez, Sam Montoya, Jacob Guzman, and J.R. Montoya.
