Angelina Gonzales, age 88 of Hungerford died December 17, 2012 in a Wharton hospital following a brief illness. She was born on March 8, 1924 in Ganado, TX the daughter of the late Estaban and Cirilda Rodriguez Peralez. Angelina was a resident of Hungerford most of her life and was Catholic by Faith. Her Husband Gonzalo preceded her in death on November 12, 1965. She was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed dancing, gardening, yardwork and being with friends and family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Gonzalo Gonzales Jr., and Ruben Gonzales, brothers, Domingo, Victor, Juan, Felix, Gabriel and Victor Peralez and sister, Carmen Peralez. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening, December 19, 2012 at the Wharton Funeral Home and a Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton with Father Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include her daughters, Janie Munoz and husband, Domingo of Hungerford, Rose Garcia and husband, Manuel of Wharton, Gloria Ferrell of East Bernard, Lupe Gonzales of Rosenberg, and Linda Martinez and husband, Ramon of Wharton, sons, C.J. Gonzales and wife, Janie of Hungerford, Felix Gonzales of Hungerford, Robert Gonzales and wife, Janie of Sugarland, Daniel Gonzales and wife Janie of Wharton, and Johnnie Ray Gonzales of Hungerford, along with a daughter-in-law, Virginia Gonzales of Houston and 31 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild Pallbearers will be Felix Rene Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales, John Gonzales, Ramon “J.R.” Ferrell, Jr., David Munoz and Daniel Munoz.
