John Elbert Heaner, III

John E. Heaner, III Mr. John Elbert Heaner, III, age 72 of Wharton died Monday, December 24, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born on July 27, 1940 in Houston, TX the son of the late John Elbert Heaner, Jr. and Beatrice Locke Heaner. Mr. Heaner was a former resident of Houston and Rockport, TX and had been a resident of Wharton since 2001. He married Linda Louise Hafer on May 15, 1965 in Galena Park, TX. He was Episcopal by Faith. Following Cremation, Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Ascension Episcopal Church, 2525 Seagler Rd in Houston. Survivors include his wife; Linda Heaner of Wharton; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Tan Nguyen of Rockport, TX; sons John Elbert Heaner, IV of Wharton and Mark Edward Heaner of Dallas, TX; sisters, Mary Jane Heaner of Portugal and Kathleen Heaner Hannah and husband David of Houston; brother, Anthony Heaner of Houston; grandchildren, Tanner Nguyen and Abigail Nguyen. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to Ascension Episcopal Church, 2525 Seagler, Houston, TX 77042.
