Shirley M. Peevy

Shirley M. Peevy Mrs. Shirley Margaret Peevy, age 78 of Eagle Lake died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in a Wharton Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was born on November 12, 1934 in Houston, TX the daughter of the late Hugh Sterling Page, Sr. and Ann Louise Bland Page. Mrs. Peevy graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston in 1952. She was a member of the Scottish Brigade in high school. She married Daniel Alfred Peevy on September 12, 1953 in Houston. She was a homemaker and worked on the family ranch with her husband. Following Cremation, memorial services will be held TODAY, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of the Wharton Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Whitfield officiating. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Peevy of Eagle Lake; daughter & son-in-law Sharon and Tom Joines of Wharton; sons and daughters-in-law; David and Lisa Ellen Peevy of Eagle Lake and Robert Anderson and Cindy Peevy of Katy, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and H. O. (Buzzy) Keith of Friendswood, TX; brother, Hugh Sterling Page, Jr. of Smithville, TX; grandchildren, Jamie Joines Headley and husband David, Drew Joines, Justin Robert Peevy, Danielle Peevy, Christen Peevy; great grandchildren, Hayden Headley and Elise Headley; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
