Charles Edward Bollom, 71, passed away on January 20, 2013. He was born on February 25, 1941 to Charlie Bollom and Josephine Muniza Bollom. He graduated from Wharton High School and Wharton County Junior College. He worked as a welder in Houston, at Brown Oil Tools in Mathis, and at Texasgulf Sulphur Company in Newgulf before beginning his career as a custom home builder with Bollom Construction Company. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Boling, spending many years volunteering at the church's annual bazaar. Charles enjoyed spending time with family and friends while deer hunting, trail riding, camping, fishing, dancing and playing the harmonica and accordion. Czech polka music pumped through his veins. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanette Kolojaco Bollom; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Billy McKey of Rosenberg; his daughter Susan Bollom of Spring; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannette and Leon Macha of El Campo; brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Kay Bollom of Wharton; grandchildren, Kristen and Duane Whitehead, Drew McKey, and Zachary and Cole Rollins; as well as by nephews and niece, John Macha, Derek Bollom, Dane Bollom and Kayla Kattner. On January 26, 2013, a rosary will be recited at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton. A private burial will be held for the family at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Bollom, Billy McKey, Leon Macha, Robert Kolojaco, Dan Brod, Jeff Sciba, CH Kulak, Glenn Norrell, Jerry Ramirez, Tim Duyka, Felix Sopchak, Wally Waligura, and Charles' hunting friends.
