Libby Andrade Ramirez

Mr. Libby Andrade Ramirez, age 71 of San Antonio died Sunday January 27, 2013 in a San Antonio Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was born on May 15, 1941 in Wharton, TX the son of the late Willie Ramirez, Sr. and Juanita Andrade Ramirez. Mr. Ramirez had been a resident of San Antonio since 1997 and was a former resident of El Campo. He was Pentecostal by faith and attended El Tabernaculo in San Antonio. He worked as a truck driver for Mustang Tractor for twenty-seven years until his retirement in 1996. He married Olivia Sosa on September 15, 2002 in Wharton. Among his favorite past times was reading. A prayer service was held Wednesday evening January 30, 2013 at Primera Iglesia Bautista church and funeral services were held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Primera Iglesia Bautista church in Wharton with Rev. Joel Ramirez officiating. Burial followed in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include his wife, Olivia Sosa Ramirez of San Antonio; Children, Sandra Ramirez of El Campo; son and daughter-in-law, Randy L. and Edith Ramirez of Helotes, TX; Sarah Ramirez of San Antonio, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Delia and Ruben Romero of Wharton; brothers, Willie Ramirez, Jr., Ruben Ramirez and Rev. Joel Ramirez all of Wharton. Pallbearers were William Alameda, Aron Alameda, Jerry Ramirez, Joe Ramirez, Michael Resendez, Nelson Velasquez, Jr., Joe Merced Suarez, IV and Joshua Mendoza. Honorary Pallbearers were Nicholas Ramirez, A. J. Ramirez and Alex Sosa, Sr.
