Patricia Ann Hurst

Patricia Hurst, age 55, of East Bernard and formerly of Ohio, died Saturday, March 27, 2013 in a Sugar Land hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born on February 2, 1958 in Canton Ohio, a daughter of Jack and Velma Smith Mayes. Patricia was raised in Ohio and graduated from Stuutzenberger college in 1977. She married Haggard Hurst in Toledo, Ohio. Patricia enjoyed knitting, cooking and spending time with her family. She was very adept with her computer. She was Christian by faith. Visitation was held on Thursday evening at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home from 4 till 8 pm. Cremation followed. Survivors include her husband, Haggard of East Bernard, daughters, Amber Hurst and fiancée Stephen Partida of East Bernard, and Ashley Edwards and husband, Michael of East Bernard, father, Jack Mayes of Ohio , mother, Velma Bowden of Ohio, sister, Becky Vondohlen of Dickson, TN and Debbie Hummer of El Paso, brother, Jack Mayes and wife, Barbara of Wharton and four grandchildren, J.D. Hurst, Destiny Partida, Michael Edwards and Serneity Partida.
