Betty Joan Sterling, age 77 of Boling passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, at a local nursing home following a lengthy illness. Funeral service: 3:00 p.m. Thursday September 12, 2013 at Grace Community Fellowship Church, Visitation: 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, Burial: Evergreen Memorial Park. Betty was born on December 25, 1935 in Akron, Ohio to parents William Asher and Gay Rose Asher which precede her in death. She married Ross Sterling on April 25, 1960 in New Orleans, La.. Survivors: Husband; Ross Streling of Boling, Daughters; Valarie Henson and husband Cliff of Boling, Katrina Waddell and husband Kyle of Mauriceville, Tx. and Melinda White of Boling, Grandchildren; George Henson, Kristopher Henson, Justin Henson, Caleb Henson, Ryan Waddell, and Mercedes White. Great Grandson; Brayden Henson.
