Rene Luis Carbajal, Sr.

Rene “Luis” Carbajal, age 64, of Boling, passed away following a brief illness on September 15, 2013. He was born October 11, 1948 to William and Irene Carbajal in New Gulf, Texas. He was a resident of Boling and graduated from Boling High School. He served his country in the United States Army, serving in Vietnam and recieved an honorable discharge. Survivors include his daughter, Bernice Carbajal Pavlicek and husband, Robert. His son, Rene Carbajal, Jr. and wife, Amy and three grandchildren, Beaudy Rene and Arisa Marie Carbajal and Hayley Renee Pavlicek. Luis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and friends at the Boling Cafe. He is also survived by his mother, Irene Carbajal, numerous sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, William Carbajal. There will be visitation at Wharton Funeral Home on Thursday evening starting at 5 with a Rosary at 7pm. Graveside services will be held on Friday September 20, 2013 at 10 am at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Deacon David Valdez officiating. Pallbearers will beRobert Pavlicek, Eric Quintinalla, Robert Ruegger, Jim Rice, Alvino Carbajal and Joseph Aguilar.
