Lillie Sablatura, age 96, of Hungerford, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2013. Born in 1916 to Frank and Bertha Matus in West, Texas. She married Rudolph Sablatura in 1932, whom preceded her in death in 1978. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Frank and Bertha, her grandson, Stephen, her daughter-in- law, Barbara, and her son, Bernard. Lillie was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Hungerford since 1936, and was an active member of the Altar Society and KJZT. Visitation at St. Johns Catholic Church in Hungerford, Texas, on Wednesday, September 25, from 9:30 to 10:30 am, followed by rosary at 10:30, with funeral Mass beginning at 11. Burial follows in St. John Cemetery. Father Charles Dwomoh will officiate. Survivors include Frances Sablatura and Gene Korenek of Wharton; Patricia Sablatura and Ginny Swenson of Denver; David Sablatura and wife Kay of San Antonio; Daughter-in-law Edna Wehman of Halletsville; Grandsons: Stanley Sablatura & wife Christy; Stewart Sablatura & wife Brenda; Sterling Sablatura and wife Tabitha; Bradley Gurecky and wife Amber; Ryan Sablatura & wife Lindsay; Grand-daughters: Sandra Burke and husband Jason; Stephanie Gurecky & husband Brian Phibbs; and Lesley Sablatura; Lillie is survived by 15 great grandchildren. The hallmark of Lillie’s life was that she really loved her family, every one of them.
