Robert Lee Quintana, Jr., age 38 of Wharton, Texas passed away Saturday, October 4, 2013 at a Wharton hospital following a sudden illness. He was born on March 14, 1975 in Wharton, a son of Robert Lee Quintana Sr. and Mary Alice Rivera. Robert was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School in 1993. He later attended Wharton County Jr. College. Robert was employed by Frito Lay Corp as PMO. He enjoyed being with friends and family, golf outings, playing catch with his son, watching NASCAR and loved to sing and dance. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, October 10, from 6 till 9 pm, with a rosary recited at 7pm at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 11, 2013 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Wharton with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include his son, Hunter Maxwell Quintana of Sugar Land, mother, Mary Alice Martinez, father, Robert Quintana of El Campo, fiancée, Amanda Tolleson of Wharton, brother, Ryan Quintana and wife, Ashley of Rosenberg, special cousins, Sunny Rivera and husband, Larry Mendez Jr, of Wharton, Trini Rivera and wife, Karli of Katy, and Amanda Rivera of Florida, grandfather, Pete Quintana of El Campo, and niece Mallory Quintana.
