Ronald Lee Dearman

Ronald Lee Dearman, 76, of Wharton, formerly of Sugar Land, passed away October 17, 2013. He was born on September 3, 1937 to Lee and Christine Dearman in Cushing , Oklahoma. Ron married Dorothy Shellhammer in 1956 in Coyle, Oklahoma. Ron is preceded in death by his father, Lee Dearman; mother and step father, Christine and Orvil Kinney; and half brother, Randy Kinney. He was a member of Sugar Land Baptist Church. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Sugar Land Baptist Church with Pastor Phil Linebarger officiating. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Dearman of Wharton, sister, Jo Dearman of Flower Mound, half sister, Karen Chance Jeter of Monahans, daughter, Cindy Dearman of Wharton, daughter and son in law, Rhonda and John Addison of Alvin, granddaughter and husband, Stephanie and Jason Vallet of Danevang, grandson, Philip Cernoch of Wharton, granddaughter, Audrey Addison of Alvin, great granddaughter, Reagan Vallet of Danevang and many family and friends. Ron was a devoted family man and an avid volunteer for 25 years at Brazos Bend State Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Brazos Bend State Park (Volunteer Organization) in his name.
