Mary Margaret Womack

Mary Margaret Womack, 91, of Wharton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was the daughter of Anton and Amalie Kocurek. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at Wharton Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Burial at Evergreen Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. J. Womack; and brothers Anton, Stanley, Jerome, Pete and Paul Kocurek. Survivors include her children Roy Womack of Houston, Terrell and Joyce Womack of Louise, Marilyn Womack of San Marcos, Larry Womack of Wharton, Johnny Womack and wife Karen of Katy; grandchildren Angela Gonzalez and husband Jorge of Houston, Dana Hurowitz and husband Scott of Katy, Jason Womack of Herman, PA, Kristin Kinney and husband Jason of Montgomery, AL, Terri Sulak and husband Michael of Louise, Susan Behrmann and husband Justin of Kyle, Steven Womack and wife Bridget of Hungerford, Katie Womack of Stafford, Mallory Womack of College Station, Jamie Womack of Los Angeles, CA; also sister Lydia Sablatura and husband Adolph of Wharton and brother Ignac Kocurek and wife Charlene of Pledger and 12 great grandchildren. Mary was a long time member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton, Catholic Daughters and Alter Society. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and got her greatest joy spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to play dominoes and games with family, neighbors and friends, and attending her children’s sporting events.
