Wharton- Mozelle Koehne, 83, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones, November 26, 2013. Mozelle was born in San Saba, Texas on March 10, 1930 to the late Ed and Sarah Blair. She married the love of her life, L.C. Koehne, Jr. on March 21, 1965 in Wharton, Texas and they enjoyed 48 wonderful years together. Mozelle is survived by their four children, Donna and husband, Jimmy Vasek of Wharton, Tommy and wife Katherine Mathews of Blessing, Becky and husband, Pat Kubala of El Campo, and Denise Palinek of Wharton. Mozelle is also survived by one sister, Mary Jo Ramey of Wharton. She was also proud MawMaw to 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mozelle was a wonderful homemaker and worked in the insurance business for numerous years. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church and lived out her faith in Jesus Christ daily. The family will receive friends and family beginning at 5 -7 pm Sunday December 1, 2013 at Wharton Funeral Home. Services will be held December 2, 2013 at St Paul Lutheran Church at 10 am, 325 North East Avenue, Wharton Texas with Pastor Laura Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as pallbearers will be Mozelle’s grandsons: Scott Cunningham, Jordan Kubala, Joe Palinek, Jimmy Vasek, Jr. and Clint Mathews. Donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wharton, Texas.
