Aniseta Gusman, age 84 of Wharton, TX died Monday, December 2, 2013 in a Sugar Land hospital following a brief illness. She was born on April 17, 1929 in Moulton, a daughter of the late Federico and Estanislada Longoria Esparza. Aniseta was raised in the East Bernard area and attended East Bernard Schools. She married Pedro Gusman in 1948. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2011. She enjoyed reading her bible, lstening to christian music, and tending her flowers and fruit trees. Aniseta was a member of Templo Bethel in Wharton for many years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sons, Henry, Benjamin, Manuel and Peter Gusman. Aniseta is survived by her daughters, Rosie Carbajal of Wharton, Mary Castillo and husband, Richard of Whartonand Nieves Gusman of Round Rock, sons, Fred Gusman, Samuel Gusman and wife, Mary and Johnny Gusman and wife, Maria all of Wharton, sisters, Juana Cervantez of El Paso and Cleta Garza of Sweeny, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation was held on Friday December 6, 2013 at Wharton Funeral Home with funeral services held at 1:00 pm at Wharton Funeral Home with Estephana Puentes officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Pallbearers included Robbie, Ryan, Johnny, Niko, William, and Ryan Steven Gusman. With Fred Gusman, Johnny Gusman, Samuel Gusman, Amanda Gusman, Nina Gusman and Kristi Johnson serving as honorary pallbearers.
