Frank Joe Sprta

Frank Joe Sprta, age 70 of Wharton, Texas died Tuesday morning, December 31, 2013. He was born on August 24, 1943 in East Bernard, Texas a son of the late Joe and Henrietta Mullaley Sprta. Frank was raised in and graduated school in Wharton. He joined the United States National Guard. He married Jeanette Berger on July 11, 1998 in Nada. Frank was employeed with the City of Wharton as a Water Foreman for many years. Frank enjoyed coaching baseball, bbqing with friends and family, and antique shopping with Jeanette. He was a member of St Johns Catholic Church in Hungerford, the Wharton Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Frank is survived by his wife, Jeanette Sprta of Wharton, son, Phillip Sprta of Wharton, daughter, Cindy Tabat and husband, Mike of Grapevine, step son, Russell Evans of Wharton and step daughter, Christine Foley and husband, Dan of Del Rio, sisters, Elizabeth Noska and husband, Adolph of Huntsville and Mary Jo Klekar and husband, Stanley of Brenham, and grandson, Nicholas Tabat. Following cremation, memorial services were held on Friday January 3, 2014 at 2 pm at St John Catholic Church in Hungerford with Rev. Charles Dwomoh officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
