Frank Garza, 80, of Wharton, Texas, passed away March 20, 2014, at a Wharton area nursing home following a lengthy illness. Frank was born September 9, 1933 in Lane City, Texas to parents Louis and Feliciana Cruz Garza.             Frank was raised in the Wharton and attended Wharton Schools. He served our country in the United States Army, earning his Honorable Discharge. Frank was a farmer and worked as a ranch hand and cowboy for many area ranchers and enjoyed his own cattle and horses. He loved to hunt, fish, and his horses. His favorite time was spent on horseback, working cattle. In addition to his parents, his sisters Maria, Juanita, Olivia, Victoria, Jovita, Espranza, and Mercy along with brother, Louis preceded him in death.             Survivors include sons, David Garza and fiancée Evelyn Glardon of Wharton, Larry Garza of Dallas, Dennis Garza of Memphis TN, and Frank Garza and wife, Michelle of Angelton, brother, Daniel Garza of Bay City and grandchildren, Randy Garza, Bridgett Webb, Kimberly Nyhart and husband, Kyle, Tyler Garza, Kymberlyn Garza and great grandchild, Tyler Garza Jr.             Visitation was held on Monday March 24, 2014 after 6 pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. from at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at Wharton Funeral Home Tuesday morning at 10 am with Rev. Mr. David Valdez officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Garza, Jr., Darrell Garza, Lynn Garza, Randy Garza, Tyler Garza and Kyle Nyhart. Honorary pallbearers were Louis Spicer, Mark Goff and Daniel Garza, Sr.
