Angeliec “Angie” Zahradnik is reunited with her Savior, parents, brother, and beloved cousin. Angie left this world on April 15, 2014. She was born on September 11, 1957 in Pasadena, Texas to Floyd Fred Broesche and Launette Padgette Broesche. Angie was a teacher, teaching at St Thomas Episcopal School for many years, an artist, a craftsman, and a beloved wife, mother, and “Gigie.” She married Michael Zahradnik on November 12, 1977 in Hungerford. She was a lively, free spirited woman who loved her family above all other things on this earth. She is known for her love of old country miusic, love of dancing, and her passion for photography. Angie never met a stranger; she shared herself completely with everyone who knew her. She was the very definition of love, and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, April 21st, from 6 till 8 pm at Wharton Funeral Home with the funeral service held at 2 pm Tuesday April 22, 2014 at St John Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Barry Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Pallbearers will be Jayson Zahradnik, Brian Kielman, James Zahradnik, Mark Zahradnik, Preston Broesche and Stephen Janecek, with honorary pallbearers, Ronnie Ondrias, Taylor Broesche, Neal Broesche, Russell Keys, Jonathan Keys, Keith Zahradnik, Ryan Zahradnik, Zach Zahradnik, Ben Zahradnik and Blake Lauritsen. Angie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Michael Zahradnik of Wharton, son and daughter in law Jacob and Jodi Zahradnik and grandchildren, Aiden and Reese Zahradnik as well as a forth coming grandchild, “Baby Tummy” Zahradnik of Boling, and daughter Jamie Zahradnik and son in law John Williams of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tony Broesche and cousin Butch Broesche. Funeral services were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
