Audrey Rogene Chance

Audrey Rogene Chance was born on June 20, 1931,  in Pledger, Texas. Audrey passed away Friday evening at the Brazosport Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ethel and Edward Horvath of Pledger, Texas.  She graduated in 1950 from Boling High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Old Ocean.  Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dee I. Chance.  They resided in Old Ocean, TX.  She is survived by son Arthur, and daughter-in-law, Renee Chance of Atascocita, Texas, and grandchildren Casey Chance and Megan Ann Chance Borrego, Michael Borrego, and great grand son, Christopher Burrego, also of Atascocita, Texas.  She is also survived by her son Dee I. Chance III, of Old Ocean, Texas.  Audrey is also survived by sisters, Joyce Youngblood,  Pledger, Texas,  Marion Bradley, and brother-in-law Stanley, of Lake Jackson, Texas, and a brother, Albert Horvath and sister-in-law, Patsy,  of Pledger, Texas.  She had several loving nieces and nephews.   Audrey was blessed with a kind soul and generous spirit with a sweet and loving smile. She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her life.  Her presence throughout the past 82 years has made the world a better place. As a believer in the Christian faith, she is now residing in heaven with many family and friends that have preceded her. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.   Visitation will be at the Wharton Funeral Home, Wharton, TX. between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00. p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014. A grave site service will be held at the Morton Cemetery in Richmond, Texas on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 11 am.
