Joe Charles Ramirez

Joseph Charles Ramirez, III, 69, of Wharton, Texas, passed away May 28, 2014, at his residence. Joe was born January 30, 1945 in Beeville, Texas to parents Joseph Charles and Charlene Coy Ramirez. Joe was raised in the Beeville area and attended Oklahoma University. Joe worked in car sales all his life. He married Paula Anders on June 21, 1970. Joe enjoyed fishing, golf, reading and spending time with his wife and family. In addition to his parents, his sister, Nan Clark, preceded Joe in death. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Paula Ramirez of Wharton, son, Gregory Scott Ramirez of Austin, sister, Jane O’Mealey and husband, Rob of Bastrop, brothers, Carter Ramirez and wife, Alice of San Antonio, and Coy Ramirez of Austin, grandchildren, Gregory and Cassidy Ramirez, numerous nieces and nephews. His loyal companion dogs, Roxy and Freckles. Following cremation, private family services will be held at a later date. Funeral services were under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
