Ella Ann West Ella Ann West, 84, of Wharton, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2014, at her residence. She was born June 28, 1929, in Vicksburg, Michigan to parents Carl Henry Teadt and Sarah Marie Pollock. Ella was raised in the Vicksburg area and attended school there. She married Howard Inverson West on January 12, 1950 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 23, 1984. She was an owner operator of H & A Trucking, driving and scheduling. She also was a caretaker of the elderly. Ella enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing puzzles. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Ruby Charlene Scott and Patricia Pearson, daughter in law, Linda West, sisters, Esther Stewart, Evelyn Buchard and Edna Coville and brothers, Earl Teadt and Carl David Teadt. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Wharton funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton, TX. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Blackburn, Danny Blackburn, Brian Blackburn, Howard West, Todd West, Leonard Kemp, Jimmy Kemp and F.D. Sorrel. Her children, Georgianett Simmons and husband, Fredrich of Wharton, Theresa Zamora and husband Hip of El Campo, sons, Jimmy Kemp and wife Linda of Cooks Point, Larry Kemp and wife JoAnn of Wisconsin, Howard West of Bryan, Stepchildren, Howard Rodenburger and wife Linda of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Karen Woodard of Kalamazoo, Michigan survive Ella. Fourteen grandchildren 30 great grandchild and 2 great great grandchildren also survive her.
