Fidencio Perez, 74, of Wharton, Texas, passed away on Saturday evening September 6, 2014, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born August 23, 1940, in Berclair, Texas. Son of the late Domingo and Crisanta Guajardo Perez. Fidencio was raised in El Campo and attended El Campo schools. He married Elida Garcia on October 17, 1964 in El Campo. He worked at the WKM Foundry in Richmond as a welder for over 41 years. He also enjoyed helping Wayne Waters with his farm. He was a member of First Baptist Church in El Campo. Fidencio enjoyed fishing, playing a good game of dominoes, watching baseball and playing with his grandchildren. On addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frutoso, Fidel and Daniel Perez and sister Eva Hinojosa. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 after 3 pm at Wharton Funeral Home with wake service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11am at First Baptist Church in Wharton with Rev. Tony Wishert & Rick Dubrock officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Perez, Abell Perez, Michael Naiser, DJ Naiser, Urbano Galabeas, Rocky Galabeas, Joe Dominguez, and Desi Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Perez, Cheyenne Naiser,, AJ Perez, Axel Perez, Manuel Marquez and Joe Mondragon. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Fidencio is survived by his wife, Elida Perez of Wharton, daughter, Eva Naiser and husband, Duane of Columbus, sons, Adam Perez, Andrew Perez and Abell Perez and wife, Amanda, all of Wharton, sisters, Frances Mondragon and husband, Joe of Corpus Christi, Evilia Marquez and husband Manuel of Houston, brothers, Ismael Perez and wife, Dora of Houston and Domingo Perez, Jr. of Richmond, grandchildren, Michael Naiser & wife Leah, Duane Naiser, Jr. & wife Heather, Cheyenne Naiser, Abell Perez, Jr., and Axel James Perez.
