Pat Keton, 80 of Boling, Texas, passed away on Saturday October 4, 2014, at his residence following a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family. He was born March 14, 1934, in Waco, Texas to the late Jerry and Addie Mae Bankston Keton. In 1947 his family moved to Wharton where he graduated from High School in 1952. During his youth, he and his family spent many memorable years running Johnnies Café where peeled potatoes, washed dishes or any position that was needed! He later attended the University of Houston. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Pat began his love of cars at an early age. This love included building, modifying and racing different model cars. He loved everything that had to do with cars, be it car shows, television or just a simple conversation. Pat joined his father Jerry in the coin machine business named Keton Novelty, which he eventually took over and ran as a successful business until his retirement in 2012. Pat enjoyed his work and made many lifelong friends along the way. In retirement he enjoyed being at home doing yard work or any job around the house that required using a tool. No person came to his house without being enticed into a fierce but friendly game of dominoes After a lengthy courtship, Pat married Linette Halfen in Las Vegas Nevada September 21, 2003. Where they promised to love and cherish each other until death should part them. That promise was kept until October 4, 2014 Following cremation, Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 2pm at Wharton Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Piaz officiating. Pat is survived by his wife Linette Keton of Boling, daughters, Tamie Joeckel of Richmond, Trena Anderson and husband, Danny of Katy, Tyana Archer and husband, Keith of Boling, son in law, Domenick Demasi of Richmond and grandchildren, Tanna, Trenton, Trey James, Tye, Trevor, Whitney, Avery, Gavin and Addie. Several great grandchildren also survive. His parents, his sisters Jerre Mae Pratt, and Karen Ann Hinze precede him in death Son, Terry Keton and Daughter Tyra Keton Demasi.
