Elizabeth Anne Richardson Elizabeth Richardson, 57, of Boling, Texas, passed away after a long, valiant battle against cancer on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at a Sugar Land hospital surrounded by her family. She was born June 13, 1957, in Wharton, Texas to parents James Robert and Barbara Anne Vandegrift Somers. Liz was raised in Boling and graduated from Boling High School in 1975. She then enjoyed her time at WCJC, being a member of the Starlettes Drill Team. After attending Sam Houston State University, she worked as a secretary for several Houston based oil & gas firms, then after returning to the Boling area she worked for Sterling Vacuum Service and Texasgulf Credit Union. She was also employed with Capital One Bank for over 12 years. Liz married Jack Walter Richardson Sr. on February 28, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2008. Liz enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, boating, dancing, waterskiing, and especially loved reading. Once her grandchildren arrived, they received all her attention. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Iago Federated Church with Rev. Ollie Southall and Rev. Dan Fritch officiating. Serving, as honorary pallbearers will be Mark Pasqua, Larry Welch, Jimmy Folmar, Sid Chaka, Mack McLeod, Michael Hobizal, James Bullock, Josh Hebert, Michael Joines, Walt Pumphrey, Allen Macha, Kris Knobles Stanaland, Michelle Klutts, and Kim Northcutt. Liz is survived by her mother, Barbara Somers, daughter Mary Jo Richardson Huerta and husband, Martin Smiley Huerta, Jr. of Boling, sons, Keith Wayne Richardson and Jack Walter Richardson, Jr both of Boling, sisters, Gay Joines and husband, Gary of Boling and Amanda Somers Hebert and husband, Josh of Lecompte, LA, brother, Ross Somers and wife, Lesley of Richmond, aunt, Bobbie Lee Mainer of Dickenson, nieces and nephews, Marci Lane Macha and husband, Allen, David Lee Joines and wife Dawnette and Gemma Rose Hebert, great nieces and nephew Abbi Lynn Joines, Gracie Lane Joines and Brayden Kocian. Her precious grandchildren, Joseph Gonzales, Meredith Skye Huerta, Martin Drake Huerta, III, and Jack Walter Richardson, III also survive her.
