Danny Pless, 45, of Wharton, Texas, passed away Wednesday morning, November 19, 2014 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Danny was born September 15, 1969, in Eagle Lake, Texas to parents, Daniel and Patricia Pless Sr. He is proceeded in death by brother-in-law, Shawn Hubenak, Grandparents, Waco and Mary Pless, and Harvey Stelzel Sr., Uncles, Wilbert Pless, and Claud Thigpen, He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Raye Pless and son, Garrett Lee Pless, along with the mother of his children Leigh Pless, all of Wharton. Parents, Daniel and Pat Pless of East Bernard. Sister, Deborah Kaspar and Husband, Curtis, Niece and Nephew Karch and Kaley of Brazoria. Brother, David Pless and wife, Lisa, Nieces Bryleigh and Brendal of Rosenberg. Special Aunt, Theresa Thigpen of Taylor. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Danny was raised in East Bernard, graduating in 1988. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, being with friends and family, taxidermy, drinking beer, and B-B-Qing with his cook-off team "Finger-Lickin' Good". Danny was active in his faith where he attended Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard and was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he was a 3rd degree and 4th degree Knight. He especially cherished his time with his El Campo Deanery A.C.T.S. brothers and sisters. Visitation was held on Friday evening, November 21st, at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 5 until 9 pm with a parish rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with Rev. Donald Ruppert officiating. Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in East Bernard. Serving as pallbearers are James Malek, Brian Hlavinka, Matt Berry, Juaquin "Biscuit" Tovar, David Pless, Donnie Kalmus, Jimmy Carter, Wayne McAnnally, Melvin Ganske, Duane Korenek, D.W. Atkinson and Freddie Pekar. With honorary pallbearers including Curtis Kaspar, Mike Evans, Mikey Prasek, Brad Vick, Mike Bosch, Karch Kaspar, Peyton Atkinson, Justin Malek, Tyler Kurtz, Jacob Tovar, Kenneth Schatz and his A.C.T.S.
