Ruth Robinson Fitzpatrick

Ruth Robinson Fitzpatrick, age 87, of Needville, died December 25, 2014, at SPJST Nursing Home in Needville, TX. She was born on August 1, 1927 in Cookeville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie Robinson and Beulah Grimes Robinson. Ruth attended public schools in Cookeville, Tennessee. She married L.E. “Fitz” Fitzpatrick on November 15, 1944 in Rossville, Georgia. She was a homemaker. Ruth enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, garage sales, church and spending time with her family. She was a member of Graeber Rd. Church of Christ in Rosenberg. Ruth and Fitz were married for 49 years before he passed away in 1994. In addition to her husband, brother, Billy Robinson, sisters Ruby, Dorothy and Geraldine Robinson preceded her in death. Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 starting at 6 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Hahn officiating. Internment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jody Brazda, Gary Blase, Clay Tidwell, Steve Head, Danny Hankins, Cassius Lott and Clifton Lott. Survivors include her daughter Dianne Yeaman and husband Shorty of Needville, TX grandchildren Traci Yeaman of Houston, TX and Chad Yeaman and wife Donna and great grandchildren Aaron and Ethan Yeaman of Richmond, TX, sister Grace Robinson of Cookeville, Tennessee, and brother, Jere Robinson of Crossville, Tennessee.
