Natividad Hernandez

Natividad Hernandez, 85, of Wharton, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2015. Natividad was never married. He was born in Iago, Texas, on September 8, 1929. Visitation will be held on Saturday January 17, 2015, from 10a.m. to 12 noon at Wharton Funeral Home, 515 E. Boling Hwy, Wharton, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 5065 East Avenue, Wharton, Texas. Burial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wharton, immediately following the Mass. Natividad was a very giving person, which was exemplified by his endless support of charities even though he lived on a very small pension from social security. He enjoyed his nieces and nephews very much. An avid reader, he read anything he could obtain, especially religious and inspirational publications. He always put his family’s needs before his and will be missed very much. Natividad was the fourth oldest of 10 children. He was preceded in death by his father, Feliciano, and mother, Magdalena Hernandez. His sisters survive him, Maria Quintanilla, of Tulia, Texas, Florentina (Tina) Padia, of Wharton, Texas, and Lucia (Lucy) and husband Pete Ramirez of Lane City, Texas. Surviving brothers are, Antonio Hernandez and wife Toni, of Humble, Texas, Feliciano Hernandez, Jr., of Wallis, Texas, Felix Hernandez and wife Mary, of El Campo, Texas, Luis (Louis) Hernandez and wife Nellie, of Tulia, Texas, Miguel (Mike) Hernandez, of Rosamond, California, and Ernest Hernandez, of Richwood, Texas. In addition, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews survive him. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Charles Ramirez, Mark Hernandez, Brandon Hernandez, Robert Padia, Michael Padia and Eddie Padia. Flowers and may be sent directly Wharton Funeral Home.
