James Watson McAlpin, age 43 of Spring, Texas, died Friday, January 16, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas. James was born on July 2, 1971 in Fort Smith Arkansas. His adopted parents were Herschel and Charlene Eubanks McAlpin. Mr. McAlpin was a long time resident of Austin, Texas and then Spring, Texas. He attended Blinn Community College where he walked on to play for the football team. He also played semi-pro football. He worked for Top Notch Turf in sales and production. He enjoyed singing, rodeo and cooking for family and friends. He was an Arkansas Razorback, Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys fanatic and knew all historical and current games, players and stats. Following cremation, he will be buried in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with his mother in Wharton, Texas. James is survived by his fiancé, Krista Fuller of Tomball, Sister in Law, Ophelia McAlpin of Wharton and Uncle Darrel Opine of Mena, Arkansas. Final arrangements were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home
