Mary Lynn Jurasek

Mary Lynn Jurasek Mrs. Mary Lynn Jurasek, age 77, of Wharton, passed away peacefully Monday, February 9, 2015 in Wharton following a sudden illness. She was born on December 12, 1937, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary Ann Brenk Shoppa. Lynn grew up in Glen Flora, George West and Rosenberg Texas and attended Crescent Schools. She married Albert Cyril “A.C.” Jurasek on September 2, 1956. Lynn enjoyed gardening, fishing, being with her family and her birds, especially finches and love birds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lilly Mae Burt. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 pm at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 2pm at Wharton Funeral Home with Deacon David Valdez. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, A.C. Jurasek of Wharton, son, Russell Jurasek and wife, Jackie of Wharton, daughter, Debby Jurasek of Wharton, grandchildren, Michael Jurasek and wife, Amy, Megan Jurasek, Katie Jurasek, Mary West and Colton Jurasek and great grandchildren, Grace Jurasek, Colin Jurasek and Kaiden Gonzales along with numerous nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be David Jalowy, Richard Jalowy, Chris Jalowy, Michael Jurasek, Colton Jurasek and Kenneth Krpec. Funeral services are under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
