Mrs. Martha Framkum, age 67, of Wharton went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2015, in Wharton, TX. She was born on August 7, 1947, in Angleton, TX, a daughter of Gerald and Ellen Jenkins Kennedy. Mrs. Frankum was a longtime resident of Wharton. She attended Wharton High School. Martha’s life work was making a home for her children and husband. She married Wayne Taylor Frankum on November 6, 1964, in Wharton. She loved her family, video games, deer camp, traveling, dogs- Charlie, Skeeter and Jo, crochet, and reading. Time spent with a good cup of coffee and her family was precious to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Wilma Wise; and brothers-in-law Billy Waller and Bobby Caldwell. Visitation will begin on Friday, March 6th at 12 Noon at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2pm, at Wharton Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Dubroc officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Pallbearers will be Clint Frankum, Russell Frankum, Taylor Spacek, Jacob Frankum, Chris Veit and Rick Jansky. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Wayne Taylor Frankum; daughter Kelley Keys and husband Donny of El Campo; sons Russell Frankum and wife Sarah of Wharton and Clint Frankum and wife Tammy of Wharton; sisters Geraldine Waller of Bonus, Sue Caldwell of Wharton and Valrie Gann and husband Larry of El Campo; brother Gerald Kennedy and wife Pat of Wharton; grandchildren Taylor Spacek, Tori Spacek, Kayla Spacek, Mindy Frankum, Jacob Frankum, Tyler Frankum, Ricky Frankum and Samantha Frankum; and great grandchildren Nathaniel Spacek, Ashley Gray, Makenna Quijas, Taryn Tuttle, Natalie Glenn, Jordan Warrant, Corbin Warrant, Ethan Veit and Evan Glenn. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5429 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75240.
