Hermalinda Alameda Ramirez, 64, of Wharton, Texas passed away on February 18, 2015 into the shadow of the Almighty. Born, November 19, 1950, in Hildalgo County, Texas, to Jose Alameda and Maria Lucas Ortiz Alameda. She was blessed to be a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a mother-in-law, a friend and sister in Christ to those who loved her. But most of all she was grateful to know truth of our Savior Christ the Lord where she was a member of Peace Tabernacle United Church. She put her faith and trust in Him and took each passing day as being blessed with each new morning that God gave her. Her smile was contagious; her strength she found came from the Lord. She loved to read God’s word when her eyes could see. She found a love for crocheting and the beauty in antique Avon bottles, which she collected. She loved to sit in the sunlight and enjoy take out food as if she were having a picnic in the vehicle, parked in our driveway. She is Greatly Loved and Missed by many. She is survived by her children Eliezer Olmeda, Martha Ramirez and Matthew Ramirez; sisters Eva Gomez Tijerina, Yolanda Alameda Rocha and Anna Alameda Chicas; brothers Raul Gomez, Jose Alameda Jr., Manuel Alameda, Peados Alameda, Robert Alameda, and Daniel Alameda; grandchildren Alexandra Olmeda, Anthony Olmeda, Melissa Olmeda, Logan Olmeda, Hannah Olmeda, Landon Olmeda, Jada Olmeda, Rhianna Olmeda, Bradyn Ramirez, Isaiah Ramirez and Faith Ramirez; as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Jose Alameda; mother Maria Lucas Ortiz Alameda; brothers Diego Alameda, David Alameda, Secundio Alameda; and son Michael Anthony Olmeda. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 6:00 pm on March 6, 2015 at Peace Tabernacle United Church; 1416 North Alabama Rd; Wharton, TX 77488.
