Job 19:25-25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see my God. On April 11, 2015, God welcomed his precious child Bonnie Clare Myatt, Reina of Boling into his loving arms. She spent her formative years in Friendswood, Texas. Bonnie’s parents, Dr. Barney Addison Myatt, a 1945 graduate of Texas A&M University in Veterinary Medicine and Marjorie Clare Rowley, Myatt both preceded her in death. After graduation from Friendswood High School in 1969, Bonnie attended the University of North Texas graduating with her BA in Library Science and later attended Sam Houston State University where she received her teacher’s certification. While at UNT she was a member of the sorority Delta Gamma. Bonnie spent her college summers working at NASA in Houston. She began her professional career as the librarian of Deer Park public library. In 1974 she met the love of her life, Vincent Joseph Reina, Sr. in Houston and became his wife on April 26, 1975. They began their life together in Boling, Texas and later Bonnie became the librarian at Iago Junior High. Lastly, she worked along the side of her husband in their family business at Maxim in Boling. They were looking forward to celebrating forty years of marriage this month. Bonnie was truly a fulfillment of her name, she was absolutely a beautiful woman. She was tenacious, generous, enthusiastic and determined, but most of all she had an overwhelming love for the Lord. She spent years as a Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of Boling where she found great joy in teaching children the love and glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. With her gracious heart, she and Vincent traveled to Nicaragua to dig water wells for struggling villages, yet her charitable spirit was also felt at home in the Boling area. She later joined the First Baptist Church of Wharton where she became the Sunday School superintendent. Her teaching passion truly was hosting Vacation Bible School in the summers. It was her utmost pleasure to help others whether it was lifting them up in prayer, aiding them in finding a job, or helping to pay an unmanageable bill. Bonnie’s greatest joy was to give assistance wherever help was needed. Her philanthropy was truly a blessing. However, her desire to share and witness the love of Christ will be remembered forever. Beautiful Bonnie, you will always be in our hearts! Bonnie was a cherished member of a very large and loving family.
