Alvah “Ann” Wessels, age 81, of Wharton, died Mondqy April 21, 2015, at a Wharton Hospital following sudden illness. She was born on March 9, 1934 in Pacific Junction, Iowa, a daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln Fisher and Linnie Marie Fisher. Ann attended public schools in Pacific Junction. She married Carl William Wessels in 1951 in Wharton, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2007. Ann enjoyed spending family time at the pool, baking and cooking for family and friends and great conversation. She worked as a manager for Kincers’ stores for many years. In addition to her parents and husband, her son, David Wilson, her brothers Clarence Fisher, Abraham Fisher, Jr., and sister Viola Fisher, preceded her in death. Following cremation, private memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors include her daughters, Belinda Svatek and husband, Bernard of Wharton, Carla Weaver and husband, John of Lane City, Jeannine Munsch and husband, David of Columbus, and Shirley Spetz and husband, Clark of Austin, son, Gerald Wessels and wife, Cheryl of Wharton, daughter in law, Teresa Wilson of Clarksville, TN, sisters, Dorothy Walker of Alaska, Sally Fisher of Nebraska, and sister-in-law Loretta Fisher of Iowa, brothers, Charles Lee Fisher and wife, Roberta of Missouri, and John Fisher and wife, Linda of El Campo, grandchildren, Kris Tomasovic, Robert Svatek, Jeffery Svatek, Mark Svatek, Michael Svatek, Ryan Weaver, Morgan Gallacher, April Munsch, Cheri Carr, Michael McCullum and 15 great grandchildren of whom she was completely proud of. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a treasure to us all, and will be greatly missed!
