Irene Miller McCracken

Mrs. Irene Miller McCracken, age 86, of Wharton died Friday, May 29, 2015 in Angleton, TX, following a long illness. She was born on July 19, 1928, in Wharton, TX, a daughter of Fred and Hattie Otradovsky Miller. Mrs. McCraken was a longtime resident of Wharton County. She attended Wharton High School and Wharton Junior College. Paulene was a secretary for Wharton Junior College, as well as making a home for her family. On August 19, 1971, she married C.P. McCracken in Wharton. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Sharon Tipps. The family will be honoring Irene’s memory with a private remembrance. Survivors include her daughters Donna Hundl and her husband John of Brazoria, and Terri Ragus of Victoria; son Alan Ragus of Sugar Land; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
