Darrell W. Cervenka

Mr. Darrell W. Cervenka, age 68, of Wharton died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Wharton, TX. He was born on July 2, 1947, in Wallis, TX, the son of Joe Cervenka and Dorothy Dean Reiger. Mr. Cervenka was a longtime resident of Wharton. He was a former student of Texas A&M University. Many will remember him for the years he sold auto parts and when he worked in the Bus Barn for Wharton ISD. The loves of his life included animals and the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Dean Reiger Mikes. The family will have private remembrances of his life. Survivors include his sister Sharon James and her husband Barney of Pasadena, TX; brother Gary Mikes of Pasadena, TX; nieces Laura Mikes and Tabitha “Tabby Cat” James; and nephew Justin James.
