Clara Emilie Horelica Sikora, age 100, of Wharton, passed away Thursday, August 27th, 2015, in Wharton. She was born on July 2nd, 1915, in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Steve and Julia Vecera Horelica. Clara was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She made a wonderful home for her family and established a successful career, of 25 years, working and managing in food service in the Boling and Wharton School Districts. Clara was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband Jacob Sikora Sr.; children Jacob Sikora Jr. and JoAnn Sikora Foehner; and brothers Raymond Horelica, Leon Horelica and Vernon Horelica. She is survived by her sisters Viola Hokenson and Julie Ann Parker; brothers Willie Horelica, and Steve Horelica; son-in-law David Foehner; grandchildren Kim Sikora, Karin Sikora, and Kirsten Sikora, Nancy Leveque, Chris Korenek, Phillip Korenek, Jerri Lynne Roberts, and seven great-grandchildren. We would like to thank the Elmcroft family for making her last years memorable and comfortable. Clara loved the food and Polka music. Funeral Mass was Tuesday, September 1st 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Bob Knippenberg officiating. She was laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Park in Wharton, TX.
