Daniel “Danny” Pilcik Daniel “Danny” Raymond Pilcik, 73, of East Bernard, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, following a lengthy illness. He was born August 9, 1942 in East Bernard, Texas to parents Steve and Mary Dusak Pilcik. Daniel was raised in the East Bernard area and graduated from East Bernard High School in 1960. Daniel married Carolyn Blazek on March 16, 1963 in Wallis. He worked as a supervisor for many years in the steel building manufacturing industry. Daniel also sold insurance for KJT in the East Bernard area. He was very active in the local organization. Daniel worked many hours at the Riverside Hall during the week. For many years you would find him selling beer behind the bar during dances and festivals. He enjoyed deer hunting, dancing, listening to good polkas, going to “Beer Camp” with the guys and following his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sue Pilcik in 2005. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening after 5 pm with a parish rosary recited at 7 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 am at the church in East Bernard with Fr. Donald Ruppert officiating. Burial to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in East Bernard. Pallbearers include, Cecil Wondrash, Lonnie Beseda, Ross Pilcik, Neal Pilcik, Bo Blazek and Ed Marik. Daniel is survived by wife of 52 years, Carolyn Pilcik of East Bernard, daughters, Suzanne Dujka and husband, Mark of East Bernard, Paulette Britton and husband, Brad of California, and Sandy Logan and husband, Austin of East Bernard, grandchildren, Madison Britton, Samuel Britton, Emma Logan and Isabella Dujka, brother, Mark Pilcik and wife, Berna of East Bernard, aunt Bertha Engelhardt, extended family and many friends.
