David Charles Korenek

Mr. David Charles Korenek, age 64, of East Bernard, died Thursday, November 19, 2015 in East Bernard. He was born on October 29, 1951 in El Campo, to the late Felix Korenek and Sophie Matej Korenek. Mr. Korenek was a 1970 graduate of East Bernard High School, before attending Wharton Junior College. He made his living farming row crops. He loved hunting and fishing, and his family. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at 5:00 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at 10:00 a.m., also at Holy Cross, with Father Don Rupert officiating. He was preceded in death by his father and brother John Korenek. Survivors include his daughter Krystal Rivera & Ryan of East Bernard; mother Sophie Korenek; sisters Rita Jochec & Mark, Jackie Dusek & Eugene and Judy Sruar & Louis; brother Bill Korenek & Tammy; grandchildren Kylie and Brooke Rivera; and numerous nieces and nephews.
