Emma Buentello, 70, of Boling, died December 1, 2015, in Houston, TX. Emma was born on June 9, 1945, in Newgulf, TX, to Antonio and Maria Buentello. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 5-9 at Wharton Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7. Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 5th, 2015 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, on Friday, December 4th, with Father Perez officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Emma lived in the Wharton area her entire life. She graduated from Boling High School prior to earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Texas A&I in Kingsville. She taught Home Economics for several school districts in the area and retired from Wharton High School.   She loved teaching, with sewing always her favorite subject. Emma was preceded in death by her parents; sister Connie Buentello; and brother David Buentello. She was survived by her brother John Buentello and his wife Aureora; niece Leah Buentello; nephew John David Buentello; as well as many other loving family members and former students.
