Marcos Anthony Perez

Marcos Anthony Perez, age 29, of Wharton passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, at a Houston hospital following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on March 28, 1986 in Bartow, Florida to Maria Luisa Bernal Perez. Marco was born in Florida and later moved to Wharton. He attended Wharton High School. He was employed as a welder at D & S Services, Inc. in Boling. Marcos enjoyed spending time with friends and families, but especially his step-son Jose. He loved to gather friends and Bar-B-Que. He enjoyed dancing and music. He was also a truck enthusiast. Visitation will be held, Sunday, December 13, 2015 starting at 5 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home in Wharton, TX with a holy rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church in Wharton, Tx with Rev. Antonio Perez officiating. Burial will follow at Wharton City Cemetery in Wharton, Tx. Marcos is survived by his mother, Maria Louisa; step-son Jose Corona; aunt Angela Medina and husband, Peter of Wharton; cousins, Luis Velasquez and wife Rosie of Wharton, Elizabeth Velasquez of Wharton, Homero Vasquez of Wharton and Javier Velasquez of Wharton, Yvette Vasquez, Homero Vasquez Jr., Jasil Vasquez and Allison Vasquez; and special friends Jessica and husband Silvestre Balzadua of Wharton. Serving as pallbearers were Luis Velasquez, Homero Velasquez, Silvestre Balzadua, David Reyes, Roberto Flores, Juan Romero and Victor Andrade.
