Lori Ann Pate, age 41 of Wharton, went to be with our Lord December 5, 2015 while on the road with her husband, Ronald in the Chicago, Ill area. Lori was born in Naples, Italy on July 6, 1974. She was the daughter of Simon and Elizabeth Rodriguez of Wharton. Lori and her family moved to Wharton in 1981, when Lori was 7 years old. She graduated from Wharton high school and attended WCJC. She worked in Sugar Land for Aetna as a claims analyst and also for South Texas Medical Clinic in Wharton also as a claims analyst. She also worked for Buc-ees as a sales associate. Nominated Virtual Top gun player of the year, 2010 PC Game Magazine, named top 10 Virtual Pilot of the year by PC Game Trek and Voted rookie of the year in combat flight sim Ien Total sims. She married Ronald Pate on Nov. 23 2010 where she began her life as the wife of a truck driver which brought her great joy for she loved traveling all over the country with her dogs, Georgie and Maxie and seeing God’s Wonder across this great country God has given us. “She passed in her sleep on a cold winters night that saw the next morning start with frost like an ice castle across the plains.” Ron Pate. Visitation was held on Friday evening, Dec. 11th, 2015. The funeral service will be held on Sat. at 10: 00 am. from the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Rodriguez performing the services. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include Ronald Pate, her husband of 5 years, parents Simon and Elizabeth Rodriguez of Wharton, son Bryan J. Rodriguez of Wharton, brother Johnathan R. Rodriguez of Richmond, Tx, paternal grandmother Savina Rodriguez of Victoria, TX. paternal grandfather Bernardo Rodriguez Sr., deceased, maternal grandparents Antonio G. and Guadalupe A. Rodriguez, deceased. Pallbearers will be Ron Pate, Bryan J. Rodriguez, Johnathan Rodriguez, Adam B. Rodriguez, Timothy Lucio, Sam Constancio, Joshua Rodriguez and Michael Hammond.
