Ruth “Bee” Felder Ruth “Bee” Felder, 89, of Wharton, TX, died January 28, 2016, in Wharton, Texas. Bee was born on July 13, 1926, in Columbus, Texas, to Arthur and Laverne Wheeler. She graduated from Columbus High School Class of 1942 where she proudly held the role of Drum Major. She worked as a Legal Secretary for area businesses and later the Office of the Justice of the Peace, until her retirement in September of 1990. She married her husband Bruce H. Felder on October 26, 1962, he stayed by her side until the very end. She was Methodist by faith, and a member of First Methodist Church of Wharton. She loved fishing for whiting in the surf at Matagorda and will always be remembered as a terrific bowler. She liked all types of card games and visits from family. Bee was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Betty Jean Clark and Carol Jo Boerger, son, Wes Harrison and daughter in law Trish Felder. Bee is survived by her husband of over 53 years, Bruce H. Felder; daughters Lorie Sawyer of Austin, Twink Potts & husband Pat of Elgin, TX and Holly Mier of Fredricksburg; sons James Kelly Felder of Parker, CO, Scott Andrew Felder of Houston, TX and Bill Harrison of Austin, TX; grandchildren Tes Sawyer, Lindsey Sawyer, Callie White, Morgan Rangel, Riley Felder, Keagan Felder and Laney Mae Felder; and four great-grandchildren and another on the way. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Meredith Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kelly Felder, Scott Felder, Keagan Felder, Frank Felder, Alan Rouse and Dan Berry. Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
