Tommy Jansky, age 65, of Wharton, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born on February 7, 1951 in Wharton, Texas, a son of the late Ed and Pauline Kutach Jansky. Tommy graduated from Wharton High School in 1969. He married Eva June Ashford on May 31, 1969 in Hungerford, Texas. Together they owned a welding business in the Wharton area. Tommy enjoyed his cattle, traveling and being with his children and grandchildren. One of his favorite things to do was to ride his Harley. Tommy was a member of the Wharton Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Jansky and Marvin Jansky. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, June Jansky of Wharton, sons, Raymond Jansky and wife, Tracey of Wharton and Chris Jansky of Wharton, brothers, Daniel Jansky and wife, Patsy of Friendswood, Jake Jansky of Freeport and Ronnie Jansky of Wharton, sister, Betty French and husband, David of Wharton, grandchildren, Shelbi Staten and husband, Michael, Brent Jansky and Haley Jansky, great grandson, Karson Staten, and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10 am at the Wharton Knights of Columbus Hall, 2820 North Fulton, Wharton with Rev. Greg Jaggers officiating.
