Patsy Ann Melancon

Patsy Ann Melancon Patsy Ann Melancon, 73, of Houston, passed away on April 3, 2016, in a Sugar Land hospital following a sudden illness. Patsy was born on February 7, 1943 in Fort Worth, Tx to the late Robert Russell and Zelphia Elizabeth Young Robertson. Patsy was raised in the Vinton, Louisiana area and attended school there. She married David Joseph Melancon on March 7, 1970. They just recently celebrated 46 years of marriage. Patsy worked in the daycare industry before becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, craft shows, puzzles and her grandchildren. She devoted a large portion of her life to helping at Heritage Baptist Church in Missouri City, serving at numerous functions held by the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Thompson, Merle Simpson, and Robbie Taylor, along with brother, Robert R. Robertson, Jr. Patsy is survived by her husband, David Melancon of Houston, daughters, Rae Ane Buford and husband, Bill of Wallis and Jody Catherine Brown and husband, Scott of Sealy, and the joys of her life, grandchildren, Joe and Jessica Buford of Wallis. Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11 am at Heritage Baptist Church, 2223 FM 1092 Missouri City, Texas 77459.
