Greg Chumchal, 46, of Wharton, passed away on April 4, 2016, in a Sugar Land hospital following a sudden illness. Greg was born on June 26, 1969 in Wharton, TX to parents, Dale Chumchal and Karen Andel Heintschel. Greg was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School in 1987. He worked for Crown Cork and Seal as a Front End Coordinator on the D Team for 14 years. . Greg enjoyed BBQing with friends and family, was an avid outdoors man and loved teaching his sons to hunt and fish. Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adolph and Mary Andel. Greg is survived by his sons, Gage Chumchal and Grant Chumchal, father, Dale Chumchal and wife, Susan and mother, Karen Heintschel, grandparents, Albert and Georgene Chumchal all of Wharton, sister, Denette Snyder and husband, Michael of Taylor, brothers, Steven Britton and wife Jessica of Ft. Worth and Dustin Heintschel and wife, Erin of Los Alamos, NM, mother of his sons, Christi Chumchal, nieces and nephews, Baylie, Dylan, Caleb, Logan, and Kason Snyder, Ally, Chris and Preston Britton and Devon Boggs and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Serving as pallbearers are Gavin Ondrias, Bryan Chumchal, James Chumchal, Tommy Mason, Kevin Svatek and Skeeter Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Members of the D team Front End. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, April 7, 2016 at St Johns Catholic Church in Hungerford from 5 till 9 pm with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8th at 10 am at St Johns Catholic Church in Hungerford with Fr, Charles Dwomoh officiating. Burial will follow in St Johns Cemetery in Hungerford.
